HOME HEALTH AIDE - TEMPORARY
Brookings Health System is currently seeking a part time Home Health Aide/Homemaker. This position is expected to average approximately 15 hours per week. Scheduling will include primarily day shifts, possibly some weekends and a holiday rotation up to six months. Previous Home Health experience preferred.
HOUSEKEEPER - FT
This full time position will be responsible for general housekeeping duties including maintaining the overall cleanliness of Brookings Health System. Incumbent will also be responsible for sanitizing patient care areas, waiting areas, work surfaces, patient and resident rooms and restrooms. Schedule includes weekdays, every other weekend, and holiday rotation for a total of 40 hours per week.

REQUIREMENTS:
1. Must possess basic knowledge of laundry and housekeeping processes.
2. Must be able to do moderate lifting.
3. Must be able to follow written and verbal instructions.
INFORMATION SYSTEMS SUPPORT TECHNICIAN
This position will be in charge of completing general computer operations and PC help desk functions in a timely and accurate manner. Responsibilities include generating and distributing departmental reports and following backup file procedures as well as performing other duties as assigned. Schedule will be weekdays with an on-call weekend rotation to total 32 hours a week.

PROFESSIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

1. Two year degree in computer related field or equivalent work experience.
2. Help Desk support experience preferred.
3. Experience with Excel, Word, Windows, and Outlook is preferred but satisfactory completion of these courses also acceptable.
LABORATORY MANAGER
This full time position will be responsible for planning, coordinating and supervising all functions within the Laboratory/Blood Bank including testing, staffing, training, scheduling, budgeting, maintaining supplies and communicating with administration, other laboratories and physicians. Incumbent will ensure that services provided are of the highest quality, cost contained, and carried out in an efficient manner as well as maintaining responsibility for recognizing results or problems that require referral to a pathologist.

Qualifications:
• Minimum of a bachelors degree in laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution
• Five years or more of laboratory training and/or experience in high complexity testing
• Demonstrated competence in management/leadership skills
• Registration by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists or other appropriate certifying agencies highly recommended.
• ASCP eligible accepted with review by the Laboratory Manager and/or Director
LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE - BROOKVIEW MANOR
This part time position will be responsible for administering medications, performing treatments, and monitoring resident health. Schedule will vary, but does include a weekend and holiday rotation and 8 to12 hour shifts, up to 24 hours a week. Applicants must have or be eligible for current South Dakota licensure. Previous long term care experience preferred.
NURSE AIDE - HOSPITAL
A part time nurse aide position is currently available; scheduling will include mostly evenings with a weekend and holiday rotation. Previous medical/surgical experience and nurse aide certification is preferred, but not required. Competitive wages based on experience.
OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST - FT
A full time position is currently available at Brookings Health System. Incumbent will be responsible for providing direct patient care at a high professional level on a timely basis to meet the needs of inpatients, outpatients, home health, hospice, and skilled nursing clientele. Educational requirements include a Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited Occupational Therapy program. Experience and/or training in specified practice desired. Must possess or be eligible for a SD Occupational Therapy license. CPR certification required.

A part time position is currently available at Brookings Health System. Incumbent will be responsible for providing direct patient care at a high professional level on a timely basis to meet the needs of inpatients, outpatients, home health, hospice, and skilled nursing clientele. Educational requirements include a Bachelor’s Degree or higher from an accredited Occupational Therapy program. Experience and/or training in specified practice desired. Must possess or be eligible for a SD Occupational Therapy license. CPR certification required.

Schedule will consist of an 8-12 hour shift rotation to include with weekend and holiday rotations. Responsibilities include nursing care of patients in the medical/surgical units, and care of patients in ICU and outpatient settings with the ability to float to other units as needed. Applicants must have a current South Dakota license.
REGISTERED NURSE - PT

SPEECH/LANGUAGE PATHOLOGIST - PT
This part-time position will assess, diagnose, and treat speech and swallowing related disorders. Proficiency with Modified Barium Swallow Studies preferred, will consider strong CFY candidate, Masters level required. Caseload will include inpatient, outpatient, home health, and long term care for adults and children. CPR certification required.
STAFF CHAPLAIN
This part time position will be responsible for the provision of spiritual support to clients and families in the Hospital, Long Term Care, Hospice, and Home Health environments under the direction of the Chief Nursing Officer and will also act as a liaison to local clergy and spiritual counselors.

Qualifications:
1. Completion of a Master of Divinity degree, Master of Arts in Religion or Master of Pastoral Counseling from an accredited school of theology or Ordination.
2. Certification by the Association of Professional Chaplains or certification eligibility must be obtained within two years of employment.
3. At least one year of experience in counseling, working with individuals, families and groups; preferably in a health care related setting.
4. Experience in interdisciplinary team approach to spiritual care preferred.
5. Experience or training in areas of grief/loss, death/dying preferred.
6. Must possess a valid driver’s license and proof of insurance.
