What causes varicose veins?

Varicose veins are very common—approximately 25% of women and 15% of men in the United States suffer from this painful condition. Contributing factors for varicose veins include heredity, pregnancy, age, obesity, and certain occupations that require long periods of sitting or standing. 

Who are not good candidates for endovenous laser therapy?

  • Persons with deep vein thrombosis or incompetence.
  • Patients who cannot ambulate for other reasons.
  • It is also recommended that patients should wait al least 3 months after pregnancy or major surgery before being treated for vein disease.

Will insurance cover the treatment?
